How long have you been with Future for Kids?
Flora: I have been with Future for Kids for ten years. I recently took over from Justin Rurangirwa as team leader.
What is most important to you in your work for Future for Kids?
Flora: I am very proud of what the founders of Future for Kids have created. My goal is to preserve this legacy and keep the local organization going. Future for Kids is one big family. It is a joy to see the positive impact we have on our beneficiaries. But as in any family, there are times when our children have concerns and difficulties. So it is up to us to make sure that our children develop well.
In addition to my management duties, I am responsible for the education and career development of our orphans. I am also directly responsible for our social enterprise, Isange Paradise Resort.

Flora: Like I said, I’ve been with the company for 10 years and I know every detail. I’m always thinking about how we can improve. Fortunately, I don’t work alone, but have a great and reliable team, each with their own special skills.
Your involvement with Future for Kids is voluntary. What do you do in your day job?
Flora: Yes, I work for Future for Kids on a voluntary basis. In my day job I am the managing director of a veterinary clinic. Thanks to my education, I have skills in various areas, for example in the laboratory, and I have completed training as a business coach.

Flora: I have a little girl. I enjoy watching her grow up and I really hope that she will not only be well educated but also grow up to be a happy and valuable person in our community.
In my free time we do a lot together, we are active at home, but we also go on family trips and picnics. When I have time, I like to read.
